Drapery Enterprises, Inc. first opened its doors in 1948 as a wholesale workroom. It had four different owners of the same family until Lois and Bill Laidlaw purchased it 10 years ago. They are now in the process of turning over the reins to their daughter Wendi Strong. She has been in training for the past several years.
Bringing fresh new ideas and spirit to the business while maintaining the standards of superior workmanship, customer service and design assistance that our customers have come to count on. Wendi is current on all new trends in the window fashions industry.
With an extensive background in textiles, primarily from the carpet industry, and also from years of sewing, Wendi knows how fabrics handle. She has also attended numerous national window covering conferences with Lois. Currently a member of the WCAA (Window Coverings Association of America), she also served on the board of Northern California chapter.
As the new head of the company, she intends to use her experience to give our designers the competitive edge they need to stay ahead of the competition.
Lois is still available for consultations, estimates, on-site design consultations and measures – by appointment.
